Motorsport UK Training Invitations

This first batch of training courses are not particularly local to us, but may be of interest for anyone wishing to progress in the organisation, safety and sustainability of the sport. Malton Motor Club would do our best to assist anyone wanting to take part of any of the following, or future event, as can be seen in the detail candidates will need to be nominated by the club committee and/or a Rally Stage Clerk of the Course, so in the first instance chat to any of the committee (contacts page) at the next social or similar or via Facebook messenger from the club Facebook page. The Club Events are advertised as Committee members only, but if you have a genuine interest the MMC committee will support your interest. The current committee has a couple of unfilled posts (Sustainability, More Event officials ALWAYS needed!) so this could be your opportunity to get further involved.

Club Workshops

MSUK are hosting club workshops in October and November this year, alongside Event Official Workshops. The Club Workshops are open to committee members of the club to help their club with recruitment, marketing, retention and more.

In addition to the above, we will be running a series of Event Safety Officer/Spectator Safety Officer courses available to those already acting in these roles, and those who are interested in becoming an ESO/SSO. The course will consist of a one-day workshop with presentations, interaction and activities and serves as a great opportunity for delegates to learn from experienced Trainers and to engage in valuable discussion with colleagues carrying out the role.

There will be three courses taking place in 2025, although further workshops will be arranged in 2026:

5th October – Greater Manchester

1st November – Glasgow

13th December – County Antrim

Individuals looking to apply for the course will need to have completed the Marshals’ Accreditation Course and already be registered as a Marshal, Licensed Official or Event Official, and will require a nomination from a licensed Stage Rally Clerk of the Course.
