Malton Motor Club is the most competitive in North Yorkshire and from an average membership of 140, can often have up to 20 competing crews out on local stage events. There is also an active social side to the club including many special club nights and social events.
Malton Motor Club was founded in 1963 when it was the Spittalbeck Club. When the club became affiliated to the MSA some years later the name was changed to Malton & Norton District Motor Club. It was decided this was a bit of a mouthful, and the club changed its name again to Malton Motor Club. In 2003 the club became a limited company in preparation for the Forest Rally, so finally it is Malton Motor Club Limited! However, it's more fondly known as MMC.
